Peggy E. Goedert's Obituary
Peggy E. Goedert
January 16, 1941 - January 9, 2010
Peg was born in Tacoma, WA where she lived for 68 years. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1959, and attended classes in printing at Clover Park Technical School. She is survived by her best buddy and husband, John, who loved her so very much. She is also survived by her children: Dan McLaughlin (Anna), Ben McLaughlin (Renee), Cindy McLaughlin and Genny Hickey (Bob), her father, William Ellener, brother, Ray Ellener (Mary), sister Linda Maule (Jerry), grandchildren, Nathan Hickey, Kylie McLaughlin, Patrick McLaughlin and her nieces Alexa Ellener, Suzanne Paul, Brenda Aston (David) and Kim Larned (Pete). She was preceded in death by her mother Ellen Ellener and grandson Austin Hickey. Her passion was her family and if anyone ever needed help, she was there for them. Peggy also loved a project of any kind and could master whatever she chose to do. She always had an impeccable garden, was a teacher to many, historian, genealogist, beautiful seamstress and an accomplished quilter. In addition, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, including the many, many hats she donated to the Specialty Center for chemo patients at St Clair Hospital. The family wished to thank Dr. Baker, Dr. Deyo, the nurses at St Clair Specialty Center and the kind, caring staff at Franciscan Hospice. A family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in Peggy's name may be made to the Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care, 2901 Bridgeport Way W, University Place, WA.
