Peggy D. Dodsworth's Obituary
PEGGY D. DODSWORTH January 17, 1925 to August 8, 2008 Peggy Doris Brackney Dodsworth born to Raymond C. Brackney and Nettie M. Foster Brackney was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, Gilbert, Thelma, Ruth, Sam, Mabel and Kenneth, her loving husband Bueford F. and infant son Timothy Dodsworth. As the wife of a military serviceman, she made many places a comfortable and loving home for her husband and sons, Daniel and Thomas. Peggy was a member of Tacoma Chapter American Ex-Prisoners of War, as husband Bueford had been imprisoned during WWII. Other memberships include Eastern Star, White Clover/Vida chapters, Ahlab Court Ladies Oriental Shrine Clown Unit, AREWS and Society of Military Widows. She was a Red Cross volunteer at Madigan Hospital for many years. Peggy was a patron of the arts enjoying stage plays and supporting Dance Theatre Northwest. Peggy always enjoyed family and friends in settings from wilderness, the condo at Lake Chelan, or in their homes across the country. She traveled much of the USA and beyond. Peggy is survived by son Daniel and wife Vel, son Thomas and wife Laurie, her grandchildren Debra (Dan), Holly (David) and Amy. Peggy leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great-grandchildren and friends. Her sparkling blue eyes and love will be greatly missed. Services will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Mountain View Memorial Park, Aspen Chapel.
