Â"Ms. PearlÂ"Nov. 30, 1942-Sept. 29, 2004On September 29, 2004 our beloved Â"Ms. PearlÂ" passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Pearletta was born in Cincinatti, Ohio and later moved to Earle, Arkansas where she began her journey of becoming a loving wife and a mother.She is survived by her husband Johnny Blockman of Earle, AR; her father Henry (Carrie) Washington and her brother Robert Washington (both of Marianna, AR); her devoted children: Frances (Drexel) Thomas, Johnny (Brenda) Blockman, Jr., Daisey (Ron) Nowlin, Williemae Blockman, David Blockman, Hollis Blockman of Tacoma, WA; her son Douglas Blockman of Earle, AR; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.Funeral services will be held in the Valley Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 12:00 noon.Viewing will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on Friday, October 8, 2004 from noon to 9:00 p.m.Ms. Pearl was known for her humbleness and nurturing kindness toward others. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of her children and those who knew her. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at St. JosephÂ's Medical Center and to Dr. Thomas Martin and Carol Kinzner of Evergreen Nephrology.
