Paz B. Abdon's Obituary
Paz B. Abdon, our dearest Lola, and most recognized as “NaNay” passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023, at her home in Lakewood, WA at 4:35 PM. She was surrounded by family and loved ones on this day.
Born on April 21, 1935, to Maria Floreza and Catalino Balaoing in San Felipe, Zambales, Philippines, she grew up with her loving family and siblings, who have also ascended, Victorian Balaoing and Angel Balaoing.
Paz attended grade school in Zambales and later Zambales Central Institute. As she made her way into adulthood, she then met Salvador Abdon and they were married on December 4, 1955. As husband and wife, they had a total of 5 children; Evelyn, Gilbert, Susan, Carlos, and Helen. During the midst of their 68 years of marriage, Paz and Salvador made their way to the United States to embrace their new life, love, and successes. Paz enjoyed her 31 years in the States until her passing.
Paz worked for Motel 6 and retired in 2012. She enjoyed the retirement life, watching ShowTime, cooking, traveling, attending El Shaddai, and family time while both were under the care of their daughter Helen. Paz and Salvador enjoyed 68 years of love and life together until his passing on January 15, 2009. On her home going day, Paz wore her wedding bands, continuing her journey of love to be with Salvador.
Paz ascends ahead of her 5 children Evelyn Torralba, Gilbert Abdon, Susan Musa, Carlos Abdon, Helen Abdon, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and amazing family and friends.
Nanay, you will be missed and loved always.
