Pauline Stella (Gaglia) RobertsonApril 26, 1920 ,- April 21, 2007,"Free as the Wind,"Pauline was born in Black Diamond Washington and grew up in Yakima. She was the only child of Dom and Nora Gaglia. She passed away peacefully in Puyallup at the age of 86. In 1942 she moved to Seattle with cousins and friends to start her young life. Pauline worked at the Washington Athletic Club and attended Seattle College. In 1949 she met James H. Robertson. The couple married in 1951 and made their home in Tacoma. In 1969 she delighted in finding a wonderful old farm house, a source of pride and happiness, where she lived before moving to Puyallup in 2002.Pauline thrilled at the beauty of nature, the warm summer winds and the colors of the leaves turning in the fall, the majesty of trees and sky. She loved all animals, never turned away a stray and cared for many pets throughout her life. Pauline Always had time for friends or family and enjoyed going out to lunch almost daily. With a ready laugh, Pauline would present a captivating smile. Her enchanting personality and zest for life was truly unique and wonderful. Pauline found great satisfaction in painting and especially writing short stories and poetry. She was a past member of Pacific Gallery Artists and Rainier League of Arts. She had been enrolled in Second Wind, a continuing education program at Pacific Lutheran University where she excelled in her writing and was an inspiration to students and teachers alike.Bright, articulate, gracious and generous, willful yet tender describe our mom. With a touch of mood she went through her life with grace, style and dignity. A loyal friend, mother and wife, we love you dearly and will remember you always.Pauline was preceded in death by her husband James in 1980 and leaves behind her daughter Jaimey K. McCormack; son, Marc J. Robertson (Suzan) and four grandchildren, Brenna, Zach, Shelby and Austin.There will be a commemoration of Pauline,'s life at the Celebration of Life Center in the Willow Room located at Mountain View Funeral Home on Saturday, May 5th from 1-4 p.m. 253-584-0252.
