Pauline May Fogell's Obituary
Pauline May Fogell, 88, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of Tacoma, except for the years 1964 to 1966 when she moved across the country to live in her newly wedded husband Leonard’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
Pauline was a devoted wife to her ever-loving husband Leonard Fogell, with whom she shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. They first met in a dance hall, where their love of music sparked a beautiful romance that lasted a lifetime. Together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories, including many road trips and train rides, as well as family camping adventures at their special spot on the Cowlitz River.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her daughters Trisa and Deidre with all of her heart. Her beauty, caring nature, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who met her.
A 1954 graduate of Lincoln High School, she went on to the University of Washington to pursue journalism. Pauline was a published author and had passion for art, philosophy, and dancing. She spent many joyful hours in her beautiful yard surrounded by nature and loved reading and always completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
Pauline was preceded in death by her loving parents, Myrtle and William Heider, and her big sister, Dolores McMahon. She is survived by her beloved husband Leonard Fogell; her loving daughters Trisa and Deidre Fogell; her little sister Mickey Lacey; and her loving nieces Marilyn McMahon and Melissa Bauer.
She was so loved and will be dearly missed forever.
