Pauline Catherine Hentze's Obituary
Pauline Baespflug Hentze passed away May 26th at her home, at the age of 76. She fought a long defiant battle against cancer with her family by her side. She was born February 1931 in North Dakota. Pauline was one of eleven children and lived in the Tacoma area for over 60 years. She attended Visitation Catholic School and graduated from St. Leo's in 1949.Pauline is survived by her 5 children Jan Becker (Brad), Sandi Larson (Terry), Sue Emery, Cathleen Hentze, Jennifer Lilley (Doug); her 5 grandchildren Sara Emery, Lisa and Alex Becker, Connor Larson and Brianna Smith; her 2 great-grandchildren Ashley and Alena Ybarra. She is also survived by her sisters Lena Schatz, Aggie Woolery, Betty Kader and Delores Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert Hentze, parents Ralph and Margaret, brothers Val, Joe, Frank and Martin, and sisters Mary Schatz and Sally Cassino.She enjoyed her annual trips to Reno with her longtime girlfriends, and trips with her husband to Mexico, Hawaii, Ocean Shores and Pt. Townsend. She was an avid Mariners fan and never missed watching a game up until the day she passed. She was loved and will be greatly missed.A memorial service will be held Thursday June 7th, 2007 at 1:30 PM at Visitation Catholic Church. Donations may be made to the Franciscan Hospice.
