Paula Ann Carter-Lewis, daughter of Mildred Cruz and LaRoi Carter Sr., born on February 12, 1959, in Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Puyallup, WA. Paula was a beloved wife and mother, a talented jewelry designer, and a woman of deep faith.
As the owner of a successful jewelry design business, Paula's creativity and passion radiated through every piece she crafted. Her work brought joy and beauty to many, and her legacy will continue to sparkle in the lives of those who wear her designs.
Paula's faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through all of life's challenges and triumphs. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. A gifted singer with the voice of an angel. Like her mother, she was also an amazing cook, never using a measuring cup or cookbook. Her love for butterflies symbolized her belief in transformation and the beauty of life's journey.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Tyrone Lewis, their son, Stevan and his wife Maddy, brothers LaRoi “Butch” Carter and wife Laura, Keith Carter and wife Barbara, Kevan Carter and wife Bedez, Paul Carter and partner J. Armstrong, Phil Carter and wife Linda. Goddaughter Rochelle Lockard, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and very special friends, who will cherish her memory. Paula's presence will be deeply missed, and, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
