Paul W. Downey's Obituary
Paul was born on September 29, 1930 in Boone, Iowa and passed peacefully in his sleep on October 2, 2005 at his home in Lakewood. Paul was a highly decorated Army veteran, who served as a pilot in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring after 22 years of service. He also worked for the Dept. of Licensing for the State of Washington for 18 years.Paul enjoyed life through reading, traveling, his computer, but especially his family.Paul leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Gloria, children: Karen (Denis), Linda (Mark), Michael (Kim), Patrick (Jillian); 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army in PaulÂ's name.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2005 in the Mountain View Valley Chapel.
