Paul A. ReederNovember 10, 1934 Â- June 27, 2006Paul Reeder was born November 10, 1934 at Tacoma General Hospital joining sisters Ardene and Carolyn in the home of Ardis and Margaret Reeder. He was a lifelong resident of Lakewood, Washington. He graduated from Clover Park High School in 1952 and the University of Washington in 1956 where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Upon graduation he was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy. After completing his three year obligation he stayed in the Naval Reserve and retired as a Captain in 1978. Paul returned to the University of Washington and received his MBA in 1991. His working career was in various areas of real estate including mortgage banking, real estate appraising, and construction. In 1974 he founded Realty & Insurance Services, later to become Reeder Management, Inc., a property management company, and operated the company until his retirement in 2002.Paul was dedicated to his community and served as President of the Clover Park School Board, President of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and President of Lakewood Rotary. Rotary was always a major part of his life.Paul is survived by Jan, his wife of 44 years, two sons: Brian (Lori Ann), Drew (Rebecca) and four grandchildren: Hadley, Ashton, Blake and Ty. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn (Marvin) Morillo. Paul and Jan loved to travel. Skiing was his favorite activity followed by boating. He loved the family time spent in Packwood for White Pass skiing.A memorial service celebrating PaulÂ's life will be held in the Valley Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home at 2:00PM Thursday, July 6, 2006. A reception will follow the services in the Celebration of Life Center also on the grounds of Mountain View.
