Wendy, Chris & Heather, My shock at your dad's passing is only eclipsed by my sadness at not keeping in better touch with him, your mom and you kids. Please know I'm just a call away if you need me, your mom has my ph #. Your dad was my closest friend in the Army, loved and respected by all who knew him. I have always liked, admired and respected Paul as a good police officer during my 25 years on the police department.
I started to view him this way right from the start of my career in 1980. Paul was an instructor on patrol procedures in my training academy. I could tell he knew what he was talking about and what it took to keep an officer safe. Paul had a part in the sucess of my career from the beginning.
After I had been on the department a year or so, he helped me get my first off-duty job working security at the Washington Mutual Bank on 6th Ave. This was a big help to me because I had a new wife and child and was at the low end of the pay scale. This was one way Paul showed he cared for me and was looking out for me.
I am saddened by his passing and I pray God will comfort his loved ones. May remembering the good times spent with Paul comfort and ease the pain from their deep loss.
Thank you Paul for all you did in your life and for helping and touching my life in the ways that you did.

I was so sorry to hear of pauls passing. I work at the proctor Safeway and have waited on paul for the past 18 years. I also have seen him out side of work and he was a wonderful guy. All of us at the store were very upset and grieving when we read of his death. We will miss his smiling face and good nature. You were a GREAT GUY PAUL. To The Paul Brown Family, How sad I was to hear of the passing of your son, father and friend. I graduated with Paul from Mount Tahoma in 1969. I worked with Barbara at Penneys from 1970-1972 and would hear wonderful stories of her beloved grandchildren. I knew all of you through all the stories from her. You were the light of her life. I only saw Paul at our class reunions but he would make you feel like he had just talked to you last week. I have only fond memories of him in high school and the few times I had seen him in the later years. My thoughts and prayers to all of you.
