Patty Sachiko Hyzer's Obituary
Patty was born in Osaka, Japan and raised in Kyoto, Japan. She came to the United States in 1952 and worked at the Golden Gate Park tea garden in San Francisco as a tea hostess. Patty also lived in Washington DC before finally settling in Tacoma. She worked at Window Décor and ThorpeÂ's as a drapery seamstress.Patty loved the outdoors, fishing, football, and baseball, and was active in Trout Unlimited. Patty attended and was baptized at Lincoln Park Christian Church.Patty is survived by her husband Lawrence Hyzer; 2 children, Mari Kruger (spouse Mike) and Bill Scott (spouse Leah); and also 3 sisters, 1 niece and 2 nephews in Japan. She was dearly loved by her family, and she loved us.Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2004 from 1 PM to 9 PM at Mt. View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2004 at 11:00 AM in the Garden Chapel at Mt. View.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph HospitalÂ's Renal Dialysis Unit in Tacoma.
