Patrick to me was like a big brother. We worked together side by side on numerous occasions, discussing better options for the house, ways we could practice engaging in activities focusing on independent living for our clients, and in the same breath talk about life outside of work, fishing, and football. He was a intricate piece of the 1030 crew and everyone else he worked with at Rainier. One memory I will never forget about Patrick is going to the Old Cannery. It was like we both was on the same page about everything.....$6000 worth of items and we agreed on everything we chose.....on the way home we seen one of my colleagues driving her brand new Kia Optima and I was like "Patrick, that's Maria...." I didn't have to say anything more cuz as soon as he heard the name he passed her up!!!" She tried to hang but it didn't work. I'll never forget that night I found out. I turned 40 this day, house full of people, ordered the fights, and was having a great time with friends and family. Cut me so deep I had to separate myself from the party mode and focus on the situation. We lost a great one and I will miss you brother.....
In final, I was supposed to be off for five days that weekend and back at work on Thursday....but something spoke to me Monday morning and told me to go into work Tuesday. I go in for AM shift and after a month of waiting for the Old Cannery items to show up, they did that morning. I spent the whole day in that room because I know if Patrick was there....he would've done the same. Thanks for speaking to me Monday brother.....love ya man!
