Patrick Gordon Moon's Obituary
Patrick Gordon Moon known to most as "Pat", died at the Seattle Veteran's Hospital on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the age of 58 due to complications from cancer. Pat was born August 6, 1952 in Hawthorne, California to Peggy and Gordon Moon. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years, after which he worked for Amtrak. Pat found his niche as a barber, and for seventeen years has been a fixture in the town of Steilacoom. He often spoke of his love and appreciation for the people of Steilacoom, how much he enjoyed his work as a barber, and his many customers. He is survived by his wife Rena Moon, and his stepchildren Jessica Leon-Guerrero, Kyle, Amber, Corey, and Joshua Upton, his own daughters, Megan Moon and Katlin Moon; his mother Peggy Moon; his sisters Linda Westfall and Sr. Marsha Moon, RSC; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Oberlin Congregational Church in Steilacoom at 1pm on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, Pastor Braun presiding. Patrick's family are all most appreciative of the love, care, and efforts of the team at the Seattle Veteran's Hospital and the outreach from the Steilacoom police department and the people of Steilacoom. Patrick, as well as his family, were deeply touched by their love.
