Patricia Annette Davis
o Known to most as Trisha, and sometimes Trisha Wodenscheck
o Resided in Puyallup, WA
o Passed away March 11, 2013 at the age of 57
Patricia Annette was born on May 9, 1955, on Travis AFB, CA to parents John and Ruth Tracy.
Trisha was soft hearted and full of compassion for others from an early age. She was a quiet child and developed a love for reading early on. As the family grew she was extremely helpful to her mother, always sensing what was needed and delivering. Her sweet nature may have been attributed in part to her love of candy, but also to her passion to share all that she had with others. She loved finding all about people she knew, enabling her to create the perfect work of art, poem, gift, or nice thing to say at just the time the friend or loved one needed it. She would often leave phone messages for others to celebrate a success, either theirs or hers, or sometimes just to let them know she was thinking of them.
Trisha grew up traveling the world. Born into a military household and having a ready made extended family from both of her parents offered her ample opportunity to meet new people and explore other cultures. She treasured the multiple languages she could speak and/or understand, and often spoke to others in their own language when possible. Trisha lived in, or at least visited, France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Japan, and Greece: United States locations included North Carolina, Washington, California, South Dakota and Michigan, and all places in between.
Trisha attended schools on, or near the military bases wherever her father was stationed. After her father retired in 1970, the family moved to Tacoma, WA. What freedom she felt entering into the public school system in Tacoma, making great friends as soon as she arrived. Dennis Birdsall and Charles Wodenscheck were two among her best high school friends. She remained good friends with the Birdsall family and often visited with Dennis and his family over the years. She graduated with honors from Mount Tahoma high School in 1973.
Trisha married Charles Wodenscheck shortly after graduation and left for North Carolina where they began the military life together. She came home to Tacoma in 1975 carrying the promise of a child. John Charles was born February 18, 1975. The family was soon stationed in Greece where she immediately applied her talent with languages. She often shared her adventures with the new culture and spoke fondly of how she babysat the neighborhood kids for other women who worked. The dissolution of that first marriage brought her back to Tacoma.
Trisha was encouraged to grow, and she quickly learned to support herself and her son, John. She returned to waitressing and found an apartment close to her work. Her uncle, Grant Elvik came for an extended visit, moving into the same apartment complex and helping her when she needed a hand. Trisha was a creative mother to John, and always supported and encouraged him in whatever he was interested in at the time. She cultivated in him a love for the language arts, reading and writing, and instilled in him a generous nature like hers. She once again had her family close by to help her in her journey. Trisha returned to school, and became a Unit Secretary in one our local hospitals. She helped many families of terminally ill children, and gave generously from her heart in their time of need.
The love of her life entered the picture abut 1983. This dashing young man from Michigan swept her off her feet, and gave her the love she always dreamed of and read about in the romance novels she enjoyed. He was her knight in shining armor, and she fell deeply in love with him from the start. Craig Davis and Patricia were married in what became United Lutheran church in Tacoma, surrounded by family and friends. They bought a house together in Puyallup where Trisha enjoyed many years visiting with neighbors, home improvement projects, decorating, crafting, and most of all having company. She made everyone who visited feel so welcome, it was hard to leave. She seemed to enjoy things most with Craig BBQing in the back yard during the summer, and any opportunity for hosting a family get together, for any occasion. Trisha loved adventures and explored with reading, shopping, going new places, trying out new restaurants, and shared almost every thing she did with her devoted husband Craig. She also cherished spending quiet time in the evenings. Their never ending romance was celebrated for the past 30 years.
Trisha will be remembered for her joy in life, gift for words, spiritual devotion, generosity, and her genuine love of family.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” (John 14:1-4)
