Patricia Sue Lund's Obituary
Patricia Sue Lund (Campbell) passed away peacefully at her adult family home in Gig Harbor, WA on April 4, 2017. Pat was born on January 25, 1935 in Tacoma, WA to Cora and Smitty Campbell (both preceded in death). She graduated from Stadium High School, Tacoma, WA in 1953 where she met the love of her life, Bob Lund (preceded in death). Early in their marriage Pat and Bob started their own company, Master Built Homes, where Pat used decorating skills she learned from her mother to stage numerous houses they built together. Pat continued her passion for decorating by owning and operating several boutique gift shops including; Flagwood Gift Shop on Hood Canal, Connoisseur Gift Shop in Tacoma and Weathervane Gift Shop in University Place. Pat later obtained her Real Estate license and she was a Realtor for a number of years before retiring.
Family and friends were extremely important to Pat. She celebrated every holiday, birthday and event with detail and passion, including yearly multi-family Christmas parties to bring everyone together. Many great memories with family and friends were made at the family’s cabin on Mason Lake. Pat’s other passion was antiquing and she loved to hunt for unique pieces. She saw the beauty in nature and always had flowers and greenery adorning her home.
Pat and Bob had four children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren: daughter Kathy Vandenberg (Drew); daughter Linda Baltzell (Bill); daughter Lori Lund (Sue Mathisen); son Jim Lund (Lisa); grandchildren Maarta Sanders (Zack), Conner and Grayson Lund, Honora Mathisen-Lund; and great grandsons Kai and Andrew. Pat had a step brother, Steve Wilson (Julie) and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She will truly be missed in our lives and leaves big shoes to fill. Everyone will remember her welcoming, warm and loving personality.
Heartfelt thanks is given to beloved care providers Regina Logan and Mima Eriksen. Family First also provided excellent care during Pat’s last years.
