Patricia S Fullerton's Obituary
Patricia passed away on September 10, 2025.
Born on July 12, 1931, in Seattle, Washington to Frank DeWitt Shaughnessy and Donna Irene Ripley. She graduated from Weathermax High School in Aberdeen, Washington and then attended Eastern Washington College of Education in Cheney, Washington and graduated with a degree in Teaching. While in college she met Marjorie Johnson, and they became lifelong friends, and roommates, spending 75 years together until Patricia’s passing. After graduating from Eastern she began her career as a Health Teacher in 1954 and retired in June of 1982. In 1968 she got a master’s degree from Oregon State University. During her working years she taught in the Tacoma School District at Stewart Jr High, Mason Jr High, Truman Jr High, Gray Jr High and Baker Jr High. She was very active in Tennis, Rock Hunting & Collecting, Gardening and remained active for many years. She was preceded in death by her Mother Donna Irene Hall, Father Frank Dewitt Shaughnessy and Sister Gloria Jean Latti. She is survived by her friend, Marjorie A. Johnson in addition to many of the Johnson family members that she became a part of. She and Marjorie purchased property on Lake Cresent in Gig Harbor and built a cabin and hosted many Johnson family get togethers at the Lake. She will be remembered for all the memories she was a part of. She resided in Tacoma until moving to Franke Tobey Jones Skilled Nursing in June of 2021 where she passed away. RIP, Patricia, until we meet again.
