Patricia A. Davies' Obituary
Patricia Ann Davies, 87, was born to Francis and Myrtle Russell in Tacoma, Washington, on March 14, 1926, and died on June 22, 2013, in the city of her birth. Patricia graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944 and Pacific Lutheran University in 1948. She volunteered as a candy-striper in a hospital in Aberdeen before beginning her teaching career. She taught elementary in Tacoma for 30 years, primarily at Sherman and Manitou. Patricia was active in Eastern Star and served two terms as Worthy Matron. On June 16, 1953, Patricia married Herschel F. Davies, Sr., and spent 57 happy years with him before he preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by son Herschel, Jr. (Fred) who lives with his wife, Wendy, in Yelm, and son Ken, who lives with his wife, Christine, in Tacoma. She has five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Fred’s sons are Chad, who is engaged to Jalise Partyka and lives in Shelton, and Kyle, who lives with his wife Ashley and son Braydon in Texas. Ken’s children are Ian, living at Paradise at Mt. Rainier, Emily, who lives with her parents in Tacoma, and Jennifer, who lives in Puyallup.
