Patricia Ann Eriksen's Obituary
Patricia A. Eriksen
GO, CUBS, GO!!
Patricia Eriksen, like most Cub fans, missed her dream of seeing her favorite team win the World Series when she took her journey Homeward on June 23, 2010 with her family by her side. Patty was born to Frank and Mary Colipy on Sept. 3, 1935. She graduated from Lincoln High, Tacoma in 1943 and then became a cook until she eventually retired from Eve's Buffet. Patty then met and married her lifelong friend and true love Russell Eriksen, twice. She always claimed that it was she who found the key to staying married forever. You get married, divorced and then get remarried. Although she had an extreme devoted love to her Chicago Cubs, she loved Merle Haggard, the Gaither Family Gospel Music, and she knew every word to every episode of I Love Lucy, but her greatest enjoyment of life and main love was for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her special cat, "CAT." She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Russell, brother Terrence Osborne, and grandson Markus Basher. She is survived by 5 children, Debra, Jody, Pam, Marshall and Twyla, 14 grandchildren, many, many great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, LaVonne Davis and Pamela Ruger, brother Carl Markworth, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, as well as her cousin and most treasured friend Arlene Robinson. The family would love to express our appreciation and thanks for all of the prayers that were sent, and a very special thank-you to the staff in the ICU at St Joe's. Please join us for a celebration of Mom's life on Thurs., July 1st, 2010, between the hours of 5:30 and 8 p.m. in the Celebration of Life Center at Mt. View Funeral Home. Any potluck dish donation for the reception would be greatly appreciated.
