Otis Reed's Obituary
Otis was born November 18, 1957 in Arkansas. He was the eldest son of Otis Reed, Sr. (Oakland, CA) and Mrs. Dorothy Reed (Tacoma). The family then moved to Tacoma, Washington, where Otis completed his early education and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1975. Most recently, he was working towards his degree in Business Administration.
Otis met Mary Jackson in 1978 and they were married soon afterwards. Otis was employed by Pierce Transit for the past 31 years in various positions. In the early 2000's, Otis established his own Contemporary Paratransit Consulting & Training company.
Otis had a passion for motorcycles & the open road, enjoyed music- live jazz, Beyonce and Keyshia Cole (his favorites), and especially doing -Å"guy stuff- with his beloved grandson, Elijia. With his charismatic personality, infectious smile & -Å"tough-love- approach, Otis touched the lives of many & will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know & love him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Mary, parents Otis Reed, Sr. and Dorothy Holloman, son Kenneth, grandson Elijia, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, (all of Tacoma), and a host of extended family, friends and co-workers.
