Osvaldo Rosario's Obituary
Osvaldo (Pancho) Rosario
02/03/1935 – 12/22/2024
He was the 24th child of Tomasa Ramos and Augustin Rosario.
Preceded in death by his children: Lydia Rosario, Ruben Rosario and Jacques Rosario.
Pancho was in the United States Army for a career that spanned over 28 years. He served tours in Korea, Vietnam, France and other parts of the world. While he was stationed in France, he met his wife, Monique. They spent 68 years together and had seven children.
Pancho was an avid fisherman and had discovered his love for it with his brother-in-law, Michel. He once caught a 32-pound catfish! Often, he would give away any fish he caught to his friends.
His other hobby (and maybe even his favorite) was bowling. He once scored a perfect 300 game while competing in his bowling league. This procured him a spot in the “Bowling Hall of Fame”. When he bowled that game, he said “I wasn’t nervous because I could feel Jacques (who had just passed) was with me”.
He also liked to listen to Spanish and 70’s disco music.
It was always fun to watch his excitement when he watched boxing and the Seahawks.
He proudly wore his Seahawks jacket and his Veterans baseball cap any time we went to the casino together, where he always seemed to be the “Big Winner” of the day.
In some ways Pancho was a complicated man … but he could also be simple and relatable, always willing to have a good laugh.
He loved to rewatch old movies and food was his “love language”.
At the end of the day, he was who he was.
Dad
