OSCAR D. DRYSDALE
3/17/1936 - 6/21/2011
Oscar D. Drysdale was at home with his loving wife of 53 years on June 21st when he quietly passed away. Born March 17th, 1936 in the small community of Glen Rogers, nestled in the hills of West Virginia. His life was rich in love, friendship and adventure. Oscar was happiest when surround by family, creating in his workshop, or being in the great outdoors. His enthusiasm and imagination knew no boundaries, his talents ranged from fishing to bowling, from drawing and writing to singing and dancing. He was generous in spirit and brilliant with children.
After retiring as an engineer with the Tacoma School District, OD served as Elder of the East Side Christian Church.
Survived by his wife Carol, sister Ann, brother Jack, brother-in-law Charles, sister-in-law Patricia, and his sons Richard and David. OD will forever be remembered as the loving husband and father he was. The family gathered for a celebration of OD's life and laid him to rest on Monday, June 27th, 2011.
