I first became acquainted with Orville (and Irene) in the late 1960's, when I was dating, and then married their son. Through the course of many years of ups and downs, remarriages, and divorces, they were always kind, thoughtful, and caring. Orville's lifelong joke was that he always called me 'Judy'. He had a great sense of humor, always had that little smile on his face, just like in this picture, and a twinkle in his eyes. I was fortunate enough to have run into him in January at the Dr.s office I was working at, and not only had a nice visit, but was able to show him my three grandchildrens pictures, who were also his great-grandchildren,, but due to circumstances, he had not met them. He seemed to really enjoy our visit, and reminded me that he still had a headfull of hair, unlike his son's, his words, and of course he thought it was hilarious. In the past I had fished, hunted, camped with, and even for awhile, stayed with, he and Irene, and was always treated like an equal. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time,,Irene probably already had dinner waiting for him.##imported-begin##Jody Ertz##imported-end##
