Orlan"Bud" Ross Ginter's Obituary
Orlan Ross Ginter, his nickname his entire life has been "Bud". He was born May 1, 1939 in Appleton City, Missouri. He passed over the bar on June 5, 2016 of unknown natural causes, he was 77 years young. He was an avid hunter, he hunted Roosevelt elk in the valleys of Mount Saint Helens here in Washington for many years, white tail and black tail deer, Rocky Mountain Goat in the high Cascades, bagged a moose in Alaska, Antelope in Wyoming, and was also a master taxidermist so you can image what his living room looks like. Bud hunted with a rifle or bow and was very successful with both. He was also an avid sports fisherman and commercial salmon/halibut fisherman. Later on he moved into helping the crab fishermen in Alaska move their boats down to Seattle for repair and back again for their next season. After a while he became shore based and went on to becoming a custom yacht builder, building yachts from 80 to 100 feet. Not only did he build the yachts, he made the molds that they were built from.
He is survived by his wife Verna Ginter, step daughter Brenda Wear, step son Adam Castle, two grandchildren all from Tacoma and his brother David Esparza in Chandler, Ariz.
A celebration of life will be held at The Poodle Dog Restaurant in Fife Sunday afternoon, June 12th, between 2-5 pm. All are welcomed.
