Ora Jeune Gibson's Obituary
O. Jeune Gibson of Spanaway died October 26, 2003, at St. JosephÂ's Hospital in Tacoma. She was 69.Born January 27, 1934, to Wilbert and Oma Joyce Goforth Gibson, she graduated from Ephrata High School and in the 50Â's worked as a Draftsman for the Bureau of Reclamation. Later she obtained B.A. and Masters degrees in psychology from the University of Puget Sound and was a tenured faculty member at Ft. Steilacoom Community College, later called Pierce College. She taught and counseled students there for over 25 years, retiring in 1996. Active in many organizations protecting animal rights, in 1998 she founded Purrrsons United for the Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Relocation of Animals (P.U.R.R.R.).She was preceded in death by three brothers, W.L. (Â"PaulÂ") Goforth, Don Gibson, and Ellwyn Gibson, and by her sister, Beverlee TeVrucht. She is survived by her brother, Rex Gibson of Broadbent, Oregon; nephews, Paul Goforth (Lynn) of Des Moines, David Gibson of Portland, James Gibson (Lisa) of Eugene, Oregon, and Gary Rossi (Nancy Borneman) of Prineville, Oregon; nieces, Juin TeVrucht of Tacoma, Mollie Grosch (Eric) of Anchorage, Neola Ingram (Bob) of Kent, Rexanne Gibson (Bruce Dick) of Clyde Hill, Ruthe Ohrman (Steve) of Portland, and Tana Whittenburg (Greg) of Bend, Oregon; and close friends Diana VanDusen and Cathy Slee.A funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the Mt.
