Onita Carpenter's Obituary
Onita Carpenter, 92, passed away on October 27, 2014 in Tacoma, WA. She was born on January 17, 1922 in Georgia to George and Bessie (Hutchenson) Smith.
Onita was a follower of Christ and a member of the Bridge United Methodist Church in Tacoma for many years. Her family will always remember her devotion as a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved caring for her family and spoiling them with her baking, especially around Christmas.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Roy E.; son Ronald (Ann) Carpenter; son-in-law DeWayne A. Ballard; three grandchildren Sherry (Michael) Dickerman, Wayne Ballard and Candice (Brian) Hitchins; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra D. Ballard.
Family services will be held.
