Ona Mae Clifton's Obituary
Ona lived most of her life in Tacoma. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943. She started her working career at Seymour's in downtown Tacoma. In 1949 she bought a brand new Studebaker before she knew how to drive. She married in 1951 and in 1952 became a stay at home mom. life happens and she returned to the work force, spending the last 20 years at her beloved Teamsters Union Local 599 as the book keeper. She loved her family and felt she was a very lucky person that we all lived within 2 miles of each other. We were always able to have last minute get togethers and monthly birthday celebrations.
She is survived by her 3 children, Mike (Judy) Clifton, Pat (Theresa) Clifton, and Janet (Greg) Bittner. 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Richard Bailey and Rose Romero, her sister Grayce Pederson, brother Sunny (Wilma) Bailey, step daughter Linda Stockhausen, and niece Debra Pederson.
We would like to thank the staff at People's Retirement Community for the love and care they gave her.
There will be a Celebration of Life on March 12th, 2024 at noon at the Amvet's Club.
