Oliver Sewell
Former resident Oliver "Ole" Earl Sewell of Sequim, WA, passed away on November 8th, 2009 in Sequim. He was born January 22nd, 1913 in Seattle, WA to Earl Ray and Sadie (Warner) Sewell. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi (Williams) and Mitsuko Sewell, three sisters, Alberta, Arlene and Violet, and one brother, Marvin "Mike" Sewell. Ole is survived by his sons Earl (Karen) Eugene Sewell of Kelso, Gary (Carol) Sewell of Longview, two daughters, Janice (late husband Riley) Arlene Jorden of Tacoma, Della (late husband Marion) Ilene Harmon of Longview, two sisters, Lottie (Al) Trevino and Marguerite Ayers, all of Sequim, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous step- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Ole was a retired log truck driver and spent most of his life in the Hood Canal area. He lived and worked hard all of his life, and had many stories to tell of his many escapades. He loved to hunt that "jumpin" meat and fish the Straits. Ole was a "Tough Old Bird." He will be missed by his family and many friends. Ole will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Naomi. "The only woman he ever really loved." There will be no services at his request. Arrangements are by Mountain View Funeral Home in Tacoma, WA.
