Oliver Cardwell Jr's Obituary
Oliver “Ollie” Cardwell Jr. Also known as “Sunny” to his immediate family, Sargent C to his troops, Pops, and “Grumpy” to his grandchildren was called home by the Lord on the 28th of November. He was 83 Years old and shared 40 of those years with his loving wife Lori. Ollie spent 20 years defending his country in the United States Army. He spent the first year in the demilitarized zone in Korea. He Then went on to serve in France and then Fort Lewis. He then served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Meritorious service awards in Hawaii and Fort Lewis before retiring in 1979. After the service he spent 20 years in apartment maintenance making friends everywhere he worked and will be missed by everyone who knows him. He is survived by his wife Lori, His Sister Florance, His children Oliver, Falecia, Dwayne and his wife Amanda, Brian and his wife Christy, his grandchildren Darrell, Erica, Emoni, Layla, London, Jenna and Cherish, his Great-grandchildren Kaorie, Marcis Oliver, Andre, Javerica and Kamiya.
