Olivellen "Ollie" Mayfield's Obituary
Olivellen “Ollie" Mayfield, a long-time resident of Steilacoom, passed away Tuesday the 20th of June at University Place Care Center.
Born October 28th, 1927 at Tacoma General Hospital, Ollie attended Stadium High School as well as Washington State College shortly there after. She continued her education at Knapps College of Business in Tacoma.
Ollie worked at Learner Shops in the Villa Plaza and was also the office manager at Lakewood Plumbing for 20 years from which she retired from in 2003. She loved to be outdoors, working out at Curves, and spending time with her loved ones.
Ollie is survived by daughter LouEllen Forest (Duane), grandsons Chad and Nicholas Rummel, and her beloved dog Freckles. She is predeceased by her husband Alfred G Mayfield, father Oliver J Metzler, and mother Mable N Metzler.
Memorial donations in her honor can be made to the Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society.
