Ken,

I wanted to send you a card, but this will have to do. You have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard of your mom's passing. I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your mom. I understand from reading your email that with her passing was some relief for you as well. she's no longer in pain and suffering and your aleviated of your responsibilities in her care. It sounds like it was alot!! I know somewhat of the struggles you went thru by just being on call all the time with my girls but especially Natalie. I wanted to invite you to join the girls and I for supper when you are up to it. I'm sure there was so much flurry of activity and now.........anyway, hope and pray that God will wrap you in His ever loving arms and surround you with His peace!! You are loved!! Please let me know when you're up to coming out to N. Everett to see me and the girls and have a home -cooked meal. I'm doing okay. Meeting with the surgeon Thursday to understand all my options. Hugs to you. Sorry I wasn't able to make the services. I've been having a major fibro flair up along with the Cancer. But, I'm one determined women and it's not my time now. Dearest Ken,

We send our deepest and heartfelt condolences to you and your family. We would have loved to have been to the memorial, however, I had to conduct the services at our church this weekend. Our thoughts and prayers were with you still.

This reminded us of the bittersweet feelings at the loss of both of our mothers. The tragedy to lose them from being with us here on earth, as well as the explicit joy to know they are free of pain and embraced in the arms of our precious Savior Jesus. It bring tears again just to write this.

Even though we didn't know your mother, we do realize she must have been something wonderful to have raised such a great man as you Ken.

We truly appreciate your friendship.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I know, Ken, you have been down helping out and taking care of your mom whom you loved and cared so much for. I know you will miss her very much. I wish to express my sympathy to you and your family during this difficult time. Your mother was a real trooper who had a strong will to live. Even though I hadn't met her in person, I felt close to her. I spoke with Ken several times during her stays in the hospital and his attentiveness to her needs and staying with her at her bedside. I recall listening to Ken give the recent updates on his mother and how she was doing at any given time.

It must be hard having your mother pass away, however, you know that God wanted to take her home and she will be in a better place, free from hurt, pain and sorrow. Our human bodies are limited and frail at times, however, in heaven, they will be strong and we will be given new bodies. Our time here on Earth can be short, however, our souls live on forever.

Again, my sincere sympathy is with you and your family.

Dear Ken,

First, I send my sincere condolences to you and your family regarding your Mom.

When we met through PPL a year and a half ago, you made such a positive and memorable impression on me (as I'm certain you do for many others) through your warmth and generosity. Through our discussions, you were also very kind to provide a listening ear and comfort as I shared reflections from my own experience with a similar situation. I found that although some memories may fade when our loved ones pass, it remains vividly clear how they made us feel - as an ongoing gift where they remain very much alive in our hearts and are carried with us, wherever we may go.

My thoughts and prayers to you and your family that you are blessed with emotional comfort through abundant remembrance of joyful memories and feelings.
