Olaf Richard Hammer's Obituary
Olaf Richard Hammer, 91, passed away December 23, 2014 in Puyallup, WA. He was born on May 1, 1923 in Westby, Montana to Carl and Marie (Fulsaas) Hammer.
Olaf married Evangeline on October 2, 1944 in Westby, MT. She preceded him in death December 25, 2008. Olaf worked as a mechanic for LeMay Enterprises for 22 years, retiring in 1988. In his retirement years, he never stopped moving. He enjoyed being out in his shop making toys, traveling about town visiting second hand stores for ideas and deals and in his younger days camping and riding the trails on dirt bikes with family.
He is survived by his children Paulette (Ken Sams) Hammer, Mike (Liz) Hammer and Steve (Kitty) Hammer; sister Ethel Harshburger; 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10am to 1:15 pm Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Mountain View Memorial Park followed by a Graveside services at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
