She attended Waianae elementary, middle school, and High School. She was 16 years old when she met our dad, Papa Paul in Jobcore. They tied the knot on July 21, 1997. She was proud of who she was, where she came from, and her family. She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, Aunty, WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, and friend. Mama Vea is an amazing person she was a good listener, very knowledgeable woman, a creative craft woman, chef, doctor, an advisor, a fighter, our dads translator, a baby whisper a walking calculator, she had a beautiful laugh and had an amazing heart. She has met so many people throughout her beautiful life. The only person I know that KNOWS EVERY BOB MARLEY SONG. She loved the last supper picture. She always knew when I was pregnant before I announced that I was pregnant. She was someone that when surrounded by family she'll explain to us how we're related to that person. She was the person behind the scenes for this household. She would always say 'we're family and family sticks together', 'I don't want you to be like me, 'I want you to be better than me' and she would remained us "Why not us?" There was never a day that goes by that our mom would stop thinking about any of us. She would tell me 'anything for the babies!' 'It's not goodbye, it's laterz!'.
To me our mom was never wrong, everything she says holds truth. Mama Veas was the realist, the lyrics to every song she would listen had such deep meaning, her smile was such beautiful thing to see. Even when she's angry it was so cute. You would never know what would come out her mouth. Mom and dad had nickname for everyone of my siblings! She was firm when she had to be. She committed to every one of us. To her, our mama she held us up there, she thought highly of us, but to us... it was the other way around, We are blessed to have vea as our mother.
My mommyz I love you.
She was also known as VEA, VEE, AND TRIPPIE.
