Dear Eleanor, Scott and Howard, thank you for including me in those you sent the notice to of Norm's passing. I am so sorry to hear he is gone, but, yes, in a better place. I remember things about Norm from when we lived near you in Fife. Oh, those were good days, too. I also remember that you and Norm came up here to Blaine to visit us. I wish we had visited a lot more. Norm was a gentle man with a good smile and interested face. He wanted to hear what we were doing. When I told him we were moving to a town on the border he thought maybe we were moving to Ferndale. He said that would be a good town. But was sure Blaine would be ok too. he had heard of Blaine.
Dear Eleanor, through these next few months I want you to know I will be thinking of you and in the mornings when I listen to the birds songs in my back yard, I will remember you in my prayers. Love, Marj

Sorry to hear of the passing of my friend Norm Forbes. We started our trucking careers together in the mid-60's with Consolidated Freightways in Seattle. We were fortunate to stay partially in touch over the years through the Ex-Con ( ex- Consolidated Freightways employees) luncheons held monthly. Norm was well respected in the transportation industry and known as an honest "straight shooter". Fun guy to talk with & share stories, especially where it involved sports.
