Norman D. LeachNorman Douglas Leach was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He was born March 24, 1916 in Shelby, Montana to Albert & Rose Leach. He went to be with Jesus on September 4, 2002. He had been a life long resident of Tacoma, Washington since 4 years of age. He served in the Merchant Marines and had been through the Panama Canal, was on the work crew for the original Tacoma Narrows Bridge, and he worked for the N.P. Railroad for 34 ½ years. Norman is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sons Andy and Edward and Grandson Ricky. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marie; two sons of Tacoma, WA, Paul (Dottie), and Chuck (Shirley); daughter Cathy (Gary) Jungwirth of Puyallup, WA; brother Kenneth (Gladys) Leach; sister Reatha (Johnny) Berry, of Tacoma, WA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, & nephews and a host of may friends and loved ones. He will be missed greatly.A Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2002 from 4 until 8 P.M.. Funeral Services will be on Monday, September 9, 2002 at 3:00 P.M. in the Mountain View Valley Chapel.
