Norma Jean Corbett
Norma Jean Corbett passed away peacefully August 9, 2011. She was born August 14, 1925 in Juneau, Alaska. Norma was raised by Sybil and Norman Sjursen in Seattle, where she attended Queen Anne High School and the University of Washington. She was married to Robert Corbett for 64 happy years. They raised 3 children, Robert, Candy and Scott, who were the joy of her life. She enjoyed traveling, playing golf, tennis, and bridge with her friends, and she was a member of Tacoma Junior League and PEO Chapter AN of Puyallup. Her family dinners celebrating the holidays and birthdays together with her kids were the happiest moments of her life. She is survived by her husband Bob, sons Robert and Scott (Laurie), daughter Candy, and her sister Eva Crane as well as many other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sept. 9, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at Mountain View Funeral Home, located at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499, (253) 584-0252.
