Deytons,
My thoughts are with you as I see the continued passing of the generation that raised us. It's not easy losing those who nurtured us -- even when anticipated.
My mom passed just a year ago, leaving Linda, Diane and I "orphans." Fortunately, the entire family was present to honor her nearly 90 years, 50 of which she spent on Lake Steilacoom.
Still, when I pass the road to our old home, I sense a tug to go down and check on her. I'm sure you have a similar feeling.
But our moms' legacies live on in their children and grandchildren, don't they? Now it is our turn to be the "elder" generation. Let's hope we can fill the role as well as they did.
God bless the beautiful Deyton women!
