Norma C. Alexander's Obituary
Norma C. AlexanderBorn May 13, 1915 in S. Tacoma to Italian Immigrants Perfecto and Mary (Gudi) Petri. She graduated from Visitation School. In her early years she delivered milk to her fatherÂ's dairy customers and managed the Petri Grocery on 45th and S. Union.Norma married the love of her life, Harold Alexander on Dec. 10, 1942. In 1992 she moved from Tacoma to Marysville to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Gary and Louise Alexander-Way. She spent the remainder of her years helping her daughter with her RV/Marine Store.Norma was preceded in death by her husband Harold Alexander in 1972, brother Dorando Â"DidioÂ" Petri and sister Giselda Â"BabeÂ" Hodous. She is survived by daughters: Carolyn Sandford (Larry) of Gig Harbor, Louise Alexander-Way (Gary) of Marysville, 4 grandchildren: SSG James Emerson (Pam) of Ft. Riley, KS, John Rollins (April) of Ashuelot, NH, Katherine Boles (Aaron) of Bellevue, WA, Adam Von Rotz of Gig Harbor, WA, 3 step-grandchildren: Donald Sanford (Tennille), Alexa Sanford and Nigel Sanford, 5 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews in Colfax, IA.She will be dearly missed by friends and family. Norma requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to Pierce County Heart Association and Lions Club Eye Bank.The Rosary will be held Tues. April 8, 2003 at 10:00 AM and the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at the Visitation Church with a reception to follow.A memorial service will be Sat. April 12, 2003 at 5:30 PM at Saint Ann Mission Church in Tulalip, WA. A viewing will be on Monday April 7, 2003 at Mt. View Funeral Home.
