Nola DeLois Bacon's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nola DeLois Bacon, a beloved mother, grandmother, and caretaker. Nola was a beacon of love and strength, having lived 55 years without a mother, yet she never let that diminish her spirit or her capacity to love.
Nola was a devoted fan of the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks, her enthusiasm for her teams was infectious. Her love for nature was evident in her passion for arranging flowers and gardening. Blue hydrangeas, her favorite, along with pansies and petunias, added color to her garden and joy to her life.
Her love extended beyond people and plants to her cherished dogs, who were her loyal companions. Nola was a caretaker at heart, selflessly looking after her brother, sister-in-law, and father, always putting their needs before her own.
Nola’s creativity shone through her love for sewing. She would lovingly make clothes for her family members, even going as far as creating outfits for her granddaughter’s Barbie dolls. Her hands were rarely still, always working on a new project or tending to her loved ones.
As a grandmother, Nola was nothing short of wonderful. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to live on in her two sons, Ricky and Jimmy, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nola had a special fondness for the color blue, a hue that perfectly represented her - vibrant, warm, and full of love. As we remember Nola, we imagine her in a garden full of blue hydrangeas, pansies, and petunias, wearing a flowered blouse, her face lit up with a smile.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 68 years, Donald Bacon. her Dad- Wellington (Duke), Mom – Wilma, Brothers – Duke P., Dean, and Ronald.
Nola DeLois Bacon will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. As we navigate this time of sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that her love will forever bloom in our hearts, just like the flowers in her garden.
