Nikka J. Mansfield's Obituary
Our beloved mother, Nikoline Johanne Edvarda was born in Sykkylven, Norway to Martinus and Marie Kjemphol. The family immigrated to the U. S. in 1928 and settled in Tacoma. A graduate of Lincoln High School, she married Harold Mansfield in 1941; they had three children, Joanne (C.G. Gales) Mansfield, Morlin Mansfield, and Christine (Bill) Jay. She became a U. S. Citizen in 1946. Mom took great pride in her Norwegian heritage and traditions which she passed on to her children. She was a long-time member of Embla Lodge of the Daughters of Norway. She retired after working ten years for the Bank of California. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Peter. She is survived by her sister Gerda Shull, brothers Arne and Marvin Campbell, her children, five grandchildren, Gary (Nancy) Ensrud, Cheri Topping, Erika (John) Epperly, Andrea (Matt) Gutierrez, Nikka (Tige) Rothschiller, and seven great-grandchildren, Bryan, Ryann, Emily, Annika, Katelyn, Chandler, and Scarlett. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed. Vi elsker deg.Viewing: noon to 9: 00 P. M., Friday, Dec. 16, at Mt. View Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will follow on Sat, Dec. 17, 2005, at 2:00 P. M., in the Mt. View Valley Chapel.
