Nick Perry Nicks' Obituary
In loving memory of Nick P. Nicks: Singer, Musician, Joke-teller, and Bowler Extraordinaire
Nick Nicks, age 70, went home to our Lord on March 9, 2024, after a sudden battle with spindle cell sarcoma. Born on December 7, 1953, he brought immense joy to those around him with his wonderful singing and goofy humor.
Nick learned to play guitar from his dad at a young age, and touched the lives of many over the years, playing and singing anywhere he could, whether it be at a bar, a picnic, or a family gathering. A fan of classic country music, you could count on hearing Nick play songs like Ring of Fire, Dig a Little Deeper in the Well, or Jambalaya.
Nick was an incredible bowler, even landing articles in his local paper in high school for his great scores. He would take his children bowling when they were young, (in the days of paper scoring sheets and no bumpers!), and would turn their strings of zeros on the paper into trains or cars, to celebrate that it was all about having fun.
Nick’s jokes were corny and his laugh was infectious. He is no doubt sharing funny stories with the angels now, and they get to hear his unmistakable laugh, now that he is free from pain.
Nick is survived by his wife, Beth; his three children, Tonya, Jason, and Amber; his 9 grandchildren, Sean, Tran, Lilia, Elise, Zoe, Gavin, Hagen, Lucie, and Jackson; and his great-grandchild, Paxton.
There are no events planned, as he did not wish to have services. You may wish to make a donation to your preferred cancer charity in lieu of flowers.
