Nicholas Eugene Jason Turner's Obituary
Nicholas Eugene Jason Turner, March 7, 1985 - March 7, 2011. After a tremendous fight to stay here for his son, Nick was unable to overcome the injuries he suffered in a tragic accident. With his family by his side he passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, his 26th birthday. Nick was proud and honored to be an organ donor. Nick considered his son Gavin to be his single greatest achievement in life. Nick answered the challenge of single parenthood head-on, and instinctively attained the wisest and warmest style of parenting we have yet seen. The bond between Nick and Gavin was instant and will remain with Gavin forever. Nick graduated from Curtis High School in 2003. He was a passionate reader of all genres, an outstanding soccer player and gifted long-distance runner. Next to family, his biggest passion was his work and he loved the entire Olympic Eagle family. While they have continually told us how Nick surpassed their expectations, and what joy he and Gavin brought to them, we can't thank them enough for the honorable and respectful way they have always treated Nick and for the compassion they are showing him and his family now. Nick is survived by his son Gavin, his parents Dan and Wendy, his siblings Ryan and Bree, grandfather Mike, his second dad, Al Williams, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. We have been overwhelmed and are forever grateful for the love and support given to us by the Olympic Eagle, Sunset Primary, UP School District and K & L Dist. families, along with our treasured family and friends. Your love is carrying us through this tragic time. Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the University Place Presbyterian Church, 8101 27th Street West. Reception following at the Landmark Convention Center, 47 St. Helens Ave, Tacoma. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
