Neal Miesse's Obituary
Neal Miesse was born August 15, 1912 in Moclips, WA to Robert and Edna Jane Miesse. He passed away on December 18, 2002 at Madigan Hospital. Neal attended Stadium High School and later joined the Navy on February 10, 1931. He is a survivor of Pearl Harbor; he served aboard the USS Pennsylvania, USS Shelton, USS Hollister, and the USS C.P. Cecil. During WWII he received the WWII Victory Medal, the American Area Campaign Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Campaign Ribbon. He retired from the Navy in 1962. After retiring Neal bought a motor home and enjoyed traveling the US. Neal is survived by his wife Iva A. Miesse, sons; Neal Richard, Neal George (Jackie), daughter; Sharon (Jim) Fink, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. There will be a private family only service.
