Neal A. Lilley's Obituary
Neal A. Lilley, born May 20, 1923 in McCleary, WA, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2006 in Tacoma, WA. He served in the United States Army during WWII, attaining the rank of Technician Fifth Grade of the Battery Company C 508th AAA Battalion. He received the American Theater service medal, Asiatic-Pacific medal, Philippine Liberation medal, Good Conduct medal, and Victory medals. Neal retired after 32 years from Northwest Door/ St. Regis Door and was a 63 year member of the Lumber and Sawmill Workers Union #2633. Neal was married 40 years to Ida Lilley, and resided in Tacoma, and spent 11 years living at Ocean Shores, where they enjoyed camping, fishing, and clam digging. Memberships included the Ocean Shores Elks, Commander of the North Beach VFW post # 8956 for two years, and VFW post #969 in Tacoma, WA. Neal is survived by his children Richard Nelson (Darlene) of Spanaway, WA, Paul Lilley of Buckley, WA, and Patricia Becerra (Jose) of Cinebar, WA; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister Elsie Spence of Olympia, WA, brother William Lilley of Port Orchard, and brother-in-law and friend Anson Hemenway (Mary) of Tacoma, WA. Visitation will be held from 9 am Â- 9 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Mountain View Garden Chapel, with reception to follow. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing has passed: I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last
