Natalie Jane Spann
December 14, 1963 -" October 13, 2009
Natalie Jane Spann was born to parents Willie Spann and Elaine Spann (McDonald) in Honolulu, Hawaii. The family moved to Tacoma on January 2, 1968. Natalie graduated from Lakes High School in 1982. She graduated from Tacoma Community College in 1989 and attended Western Washington University.
Natalie was a spokesperson for the American Heart Association for several years and was an active member of Allen AME Church. She loved to draw, cook, listen to old school, and mentor the young ladies of Sister's of Vision. Her greatest joy in life was her son Isaiah.
Natalie is survived by her son, Isaiah, her parents, Willie Spann (Louise), Elaine McDonald, her sister Shari (Rev. David Aaron Johnson), Shannon Hopkins (Bryan), grandmother, Erna McDonald, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Celebration of her life will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 23rd at Allen AME Church, 1223 Martin Luther King in Tacoma, WA. Donations may be sent to the American Heart Association.
