Nancy E. Schuneman's Obituary
Nancy Elizabeth Schuneman passed away on January 14, 2026, after 6 years of battling cancer. She was born in Massillon, Ohio November 30, 1940, and grew up in Mattoon, Illinois with her mother Martha Louise, father Elmer Loren, sister Jane, and brother Ted.
Nancy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Antioch and a Master of Advanced Nursing from University of Utah. She moved to Tacoma, Washington area in 1992, and married Fred Schuneman on July 2, 1994.
Nancy was an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with Group Health/Kaiser Permanente until she retired in 2011. She has enjoyed retirement with her husband Fred, their sheepdogs Grant and Martha, and spent many vacations at their beach house in Ocean Park, Washington.
She is survived by her husband Fred, older sister Jane in Tallahassee, Fl, younger brother Ted in Toledo, Ohio, stepsons Chris in Nome, Al. Damen in Issaquah, WA, stepdaughter Danelle in Anchorage, and 5 grandchildren.
