Nancy Schmunk's Obituary
Cherishing the Life of Our Beloved Nancy
May 30th, 1936 - March 27th, 2025
On March 27th, 2025, in Richland, Washington, our beloved Nancy left us, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Born on May 30th, 1936, in Kalispell, Montana, she brought warmth and joy into our lives every day.
Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and supportive nature touched us all. Her empathetic spirit, patience, and intelligence were gifts we cherished deeply.
She was the devoted wife of the late Charles Schmunk and the loving daughter of the late John and Virginia Basye. Her brother, Jack Basye, also preceded her in passing. She is survived by Jeff (Kathy) Schmunk, Fox Island, Teri (Eric) Schwab, West Richland, Robin (Arthur) Stone, Graham. Family was the center of Nancy's world, and she took immense joy in being surrounded by all of us her children, 6 grandchildren David, Brandon, Jacy, Christopher (Ashleigh) Andrew (Jennifer), Shawn, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Nancy's home was always filled with laughter and warmth. We have countless memories of gatherings where her wisdom and gentle guidance brought us closer together. Her generous spirit and the love she shared will forever remain in our hearts.
Though she is no longer with us, Nancy's legacy lives on in the love and kindness she instilled in each of us. We will forever cherish the moments we shared and carry her memory with us always.
