Nancy Hall's Obituary
Nancy J. Hall
10-12-1947 to 11-28-2011
After only four and a half months of battling a terrible illness, Nancy left this world in the same way that she lived her life - with dignity and grace. She was a person who was admired and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a kind, sweet, funny, quiet and determined woman. She had a deep and abiding passion for art and music, for books, and most importantly, for friendships and family. Nancy was born in Traverse City, Michigan. She graduated from high school in Anchorage, Alaska, and from college at the University of Puget Sound. She was the senior graphic designer at the Pierce County Library System for almost 40 years. She loved her work, and she loved her co-workers. Nancy was pre-deceased by her mother, Jane Thomas, and her father, Robert Hall. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Ellen Hall of San Francisco, and her partner Greg Dunn of Gig Harbor. She leaves behind a multitude of friends. She will be missed and cherished by all who had the good fortune of knowing her. We will always remember her sweet smile, her generosity of spirit, and her shining presence in our lives. There will be a private burial service. A memorial gathering will be planned for a later date.
