Nancy Gail Hanson's Obituary
Nancy Gail HansonNancy passed away peacefully, on January 6, 2004, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side.She was born on February 13, 1950 in Tacoma, and she graduated from Lincoln High School. She was a 30 year member of 2224 VFW AUX and worked for Tacoma Lutheran Social Services, Gilchrist Chevrolet and was still employed at the Emerald Queen Casino. Nancy asked that a special thank you go to her employer for taking such good care of her until her death, also the nurses with Hospice, Angela and Lisa, and Casey at Group Health. She is survived by her two sons Jeff (Tina) and Brian Hanson, their father Jerry, three grandchildren Taylor, Alex, and Alyssa, her mother Dorothy Palagruti, brothers Ralph (Dixie), Michael (Toni), Jim (Wendy) Rawley, sisters Kathy (Larry) Slack, Diane (Pete) Peterson, Maryanne (Joe) Burton, Jill (Dave) Jaque, Karla (Dan) Asplund, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. NancyÂ's children would like to thank their family, friends, and medical staff for all the love, support, prayers, thoughts and helping them take care of their mom in her final days. A memorial service to celebrate NancyÂ's life will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2004 in the Mt. View Celebration of Life Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with expenses to Christina or Jeff Hanson - The Hanson Family Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
