Nancy C. Sauer's Obituary
Nancy Carol Sauer "Grandma Nancy" died suddenly in Puyallup on Tues., Feb. 1st. Born in Council Bluffs, IA on July 24, 1935 to Vesta and Ralph Anderson. The family moved to Port Townsend, where she grew up. Nancy graduated from Port Townsend HS and was the Rhododendron Queen in 1953. She met and married Clifford A. Sauer on Jan. 21st, 1955. They had two children, Debbie and Cliff Jr. Together they enjoyed the life of a military family, living in Germany, San Francisco, Ft. Lewis, and Lakewood, where Cliff retired. Retired life was a happy one, baseball, fishing, camping, family get-togethers, and trips to Mt. Rainier.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cliff Sr. (1973), her parents Vesta and Ralph, and her brother Tom. She is survived by her children Debbie (Tim) and Cliff Jr. (Alana), grandkids Rick, Kyle, and Jillian, great-grandkids Taylor Ann and Tanner, Punkey her cat, and Jerry her good friend. More than anything, Nancy loved being with her family and friends.
Graveside services are at Mountain View Cemetery in Lakewood on Feb. 10th, 2011 at 3pm. The family wishes to thank Central Pierce Fire, the ER and ICU staff at GSH, and the support of many family and friends.
